The President of starts her working visit to the Council of Europe.
Salome Zourabichvili, as Head of the State, which chairs the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, will address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. After giving the speech, she will answer the questions of the PACE lawmakers.
The President will also meet with the senior officials of the Council of Europe, including Hendrik Daems, the Head of the PACE, Marija Pejčinović Burić, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Dunja Mijatović, the Commissioner for Human Rights and Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos, the President of the European Court of Human Rights.
“I am sure the most important thing to consider is what concerns us and what is within the competence of the President for this format - it is certainly an occupation and human rights violations in the occupied territories”, - said Sophio Kiladze, the Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration.
