Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that almost 100 people from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
“As for the situation in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra: now almost 100 coronavirus cases have been confirmed on the monastery’s territory and, unfortunately, there are two fatal ones. We wish all the patients a speedy recovery”, - he said.
According to Zelensky, the situation demonstrates that the coronavirus infects anyone, regardless of nationality, gender or religion, and one should not take this virus irresponsibly.
The President once again urged Ukrainians to stay home on Orthodox Easter, which is marked on April 19 this year.
