According to the joint decision of the Georgian Government and the Patriarchate, churches will not be closed on Easter night throughout the country.
As the spokesperson of the Prime Minister said, the service will be conducted in accordance with the recommendations.
“Only clergymen will be allowed in small churches, while a 2-meter social distance will be maintained in large temples. All safety standards set by the Ministry of Health will be observed in the churches. Churches are not set to be closed; however, countrywide curfew will be effective, with patrol police controlling all kinds of movement, and on April 17, restrictions will apply to cemeteries”, - said Irakli Chikovani.
