The Minister of Health announced today her resignation, but said she will continue her work in the Georgian Dream’s political council.
Ekaterine Tikaradze thanked her employees for their work.
“All our activities and decisions were targeted at reaching the best solutions for our citizens’ health. Despite the difficult epidemiological situation and the main goal to struggle against the pandemic, the ministry carried out many significant projects.
After three years of quite intensive work, after consultations with the Prime Minister, now with the party chairman, we considered it the right decision to continue my work in the political board of the ruling party. We believe that the projects that have been launched and implemented have already closed a certain stage of development, and we are moving to another stage”, - she said.
Ekaterine Tikaradze was appointed as the Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs on June 18, 2019.
